DANCE

Sarah Wingo is a dancer, dance educator and personal trainer living in Brooklyn, NY. Sarah began dancing shortly after she mastered walking. After extensive ballet training under the tutelage of Karen Gibbons-Brown and Jeremy Blanton Sarah went on to pursue a BFA in Contemporary Ballet from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Upon moving to NYC Sarah joined Randy James Dance works and began working as a free lance contemporary dancer, choreographer and teacher. Sarah has toured nationally and internationally with shows like Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Cats (Victoria) and for The Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary Tour. Other favorite regional credits include Beauty and the Beast, Guys n'Dolls, and Cabaret. 

Sarah's choreography has been performed around NYC in venues such as The Ailey Citigroup Theater, The Producer's Club and The Joyce Soho. Sarah has also choreographed for Barter Theater Late Night Cabaret, Fort Wayne Ballet, Bristol Ballet, and the Miss Virginia and Miss Tennessee Pageants as well as setting solos and small group pieces to be performed for competitions. 

Sarah is a passionate dance educator. Sarah has taught masterclasses across the country to students of all ages and abilities from public elementary schools to distinguished conservatories and Universities like Philadelphia School of the Arts, Rugters University, Oklahoma City University and New Orleans School of the Arts. Sarah is a regular faculty member of Fort Wayne Ballet's Summer Intensive and judges for various dance competitions. 

FITNESS 

While dancing professionally, Sarah could see the value in training for injury prevention via yoga, pilates and weight training and wanted to help others find the same form, fitness and balance in life. Sarah is a Certified Personal Trainer with a Corrective Exercise Specialization and is currently working towards a Fitness Nutrition and Performance Enhancement specialization through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. 

Sarah works with a wide variety of clients from dancers, athletes, models and actors, new mom's, stressed out bankers and people coping with chronic injury and pain as well as people with special needs. Sarah also teaches Pure Barre, a blend of yoga, pilates and ballet for dancers and non dancers alike and has been featured teaching Pure Barre for national magazines and websites such as Shape.com, Health.com, New York Magazine, and The Coveteur. Sarah has also done athletic print ads with Shaun-T for Fila, Kohl's and Rockport Shoes.
